About us
Cloud9 Women's Choir is a not-for-profit choir based in Melbourne, Australia.
Our members come together to share the joy of singing and the development of musical excellence.
We sing a range of musical styles, from classical to gospel, and regularly collaborate with guest soloists and other community music groups such as the Zelman Symphony to enhance and extend our music experience.
A bit more about us
We are a SSA women’s choir and rehearse in North Balwyn.
At any one time, the choir has between 35 and 45 members who sing a wide range of musical styles from traditional to contemporary.
We hold two concerts a year. We look for opportunities to perform at other times during the year as part of our commitment to developing our musical and performing skills.
Cloud9 is a member of the Australian National Choral Association.
Musical Director
Kerry Gerraty

Originally from New Zealand, Kerry is an engaging musical director and accompanist who loves to share her passion for music and connect with people from all types of backgrounds and experience.
Initially trained in classical piano, Kerry moved into choral music in 2009 (with the occasional sidebar into playing for Musical Theatre). Since then, she has worked with a highly diverse range of choral groups and continues to be in demand both as a director and accompanist. Her career had seen her work in many of the major concert venues across Australia.
Kerry has a long association with Short Black Opera Company and the Dhungala Children’s Choir, most recently conducting the youth chorus for performances of 'Eumeralla - a War Requiem for Peace' with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra at Hamer Hall and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra at the Sydney Opera House.
Kerry’s other notable roles include conductor for NEVR Music's Massed Primary Choir at Hamer Hall (2023/24) and Satellite Conductor for the Victorian State Schools Spectacular Massed Choir (2017/18).
Kerry also leads three other community choirs around greater Melbourne. When she’s not conducting or playing for choirs, Kerry sings with Melbourne choir Choristry. She loves a good coffee, going to shows, and engaging in craftwork to keep her hands busy!
Kerry delights in encouraging and uplifting people to achieve their best and is proud to be leading the fabulous singers of Cloud9 Women's Choir and to continue this wonderful musical journey together!
